01 / Service scope
From the terminal to your site and back.
The road leg connects a port or inland terminal with the place where the container is loaded or unloaded. We collect the container from the terminal, deliver it to the given address and, after unloading or loading, return it full to the terminal or empty to the designated depot.
The transport needs details from the booking made with the shipping line or ocean forwarder: container or booking number, release number or PIN, terminal and depot. Terminals usually require the vehicle to be pre-advised for a set time slot, so we agree dates in advance.
- Import: a container from a port or terminal to your warehouse.
- Export: an empty container delivered for loading and the full one returned to the terminal.
- Container moves between terminals, depots and plants.
Containers are one of the loads we carry most often. See other types of cargo. We also rent out storage containers.
02 / Prepare your enquiry
What details to prepare for a container order?
You will find most of the information in the booking confirmation from the shipping line or ocean forwarder.
- Container
- Give the type and size (20′, 40′, 40′ HC or other), the container or booking number, and the release number or PIN.
- Gross weight
- Give the weight of the cargo including the container. It must stay within the permitted gross vehicle weight on the route. For export, also prepare the VGM.
- Terminal, depot and addresses
- State the collection terminal or port, the loading or unloading address and the depot where the empty container is returned.
- Time windows
- Give the site’s working hours, the export cut-off and the free time set by the shipping line.

04 / Questions before you book
Before you book transport.
Answers that help you prepare your enquiry.
Which containers do you transport?
Most often standard 20′, 40′ and 40′ HC containers, on our own container chassis. Ask separately about other types, e.g. open top or flat rack — we match the equipment to the container and the cargo.
Do you rent out containers?
Yes, shipping containers for storage. We deliver them, place them on site and collect them when the rental ends.
What is VGM?
VGM is the verified gross mass of a container, required under the SOLAS convention before it is loaded onto a ship. The shipper is responsible for declaring it. Without a VGM, an export container will not be loaded onto the ship.
How much can a loaded container weigh?
In road transport, the limit is the permitted gross vehicle weight and the axle loads on the route. Give the container’s gross weight — we will check whether it can travel on a standard vehicle.
Do you move containers to or from the Czech Republic?
Yes, ask about the specific route. Give the collection terminal, the address in the Czech Republic or Poland, and where the container is to be returned.
